spook

metroid fusion. forget sa-x, man

also lopers from return to castle wolfenstein.

how am i the only one that has said Penumbra so far holy heck thas a classic series

I watched my dad play resident evil 4 when it was still new and it freaked me out, mostly in the castle areas. played it later and it still was hard to play once you get to the castle.

I think we also had silent hill 3? Played for maybe 10 min then i decided to turn it off, never picked it up again.

resident evil 2-4 on the gamecube. i would stay up with my friends until 4am playing that stuff. we would take a break and play animal crossing when we were too spooked out

i was pretty scared of MYST when i was very very small

Penumbra is amazing and better than amnesia imo. It was pretty scary but I played it at like 14 rather than 8 so I could handle it.

Amnesia water level. Running from monsters is fine but running from things I can't see like my feelings is terrifying.

We're talking about old games tho, I wouldn't necessarily call Amnesia an old game

I was afraid of the Mario head in SM64 so much that I had my mom start the game up and go to the save menu so I could actually play the game

i was scared of my own shadow too actually

That loving piano in Super Mario 64.

Only Max payne 1 and 3 has scared me. In max payne 1 there is a mission in which you need to kill this mafia member who has locked himself up in a satanic building with pentagrams, Ouja boards and demonic references everywhere. When you get to him he'll start shouting a bunch of stuff which is scary to religious people like myself. There is also 2 nightmare missions in Max payne 1 where you have to go through a puzzle with a bunch of stuff happening in the background.

The level in Max Payne 3 with the organs being taking out and the dudes throwing dead bodies into a furnace is also a bit scary.

That's about it really :/

just the cover was enough to spook me. played it when it first came out as a kid, terrified me
