Is there a fix for the extremely loud sounds in first person?

I just got a new computer and it has this problem, I could've sworn there was a fix for it but I can't find anything to help.

I have this problem all the time. Unfortunately all I can say is turn down your volume.

You can replace blocklands extremely outdated openal dll with a new one:

(Place in blockland folder, overwrite current, set read only)

Appearantly there are "problems" preventing badspot from upgrading it but I've been using this one for a long time with no issues.
