Author Topic: tfw medecine leaves a bad taste in your mouth  (Read 3210 times)

Since we're on the topic of other bad tasting medicines:

There was a medication that I had to take once as a kid and it was the worst thing ever.
It was a liquid medication, and its taste was absolutely vile
I believe it was an antiobiotic.
The pharmacist recommended mixing it with a cup of yogurt.
All that did was give me a cup full of vileness, instead of a teaspoon of concentrated evil

I'm trying to remember the name of it, but I can't. All I can remember is cephalixin capsules, which have a very sulfurous/rotten smell, and leave a little bit of that behind as an aftertaste if you don't swallow fast enough. But still nowhere near as bad.

EDIT: after some googling, I think I found the name of what i was looking for : clindamycin

This nightquill stuff
Was like cherry but super strong and a little minty
ugh I hated it

My worst medicine was cough syrup. It was "Grape Flavored" and i already hate the taste of grapes. But it did not taste like grapes at all, it was worse.

My father had to bribe me in order to take the medicine. After i took it i pretty much drank 50 cups of milk to get the taste out of my mouth.

The cough medicine i use now is still liquid, but its literally honey with a tiny bit of medicenal ingredients. Honey is good for curing coughs. I even like the taste of honey. I literally want to drink some of it at times because its delicious.
