Author Topic: tl;dr I had ping issues go away  (Read 1250 times)

I tried to make a top-down shooter server, but my ping had become ---, so I port-forwarded. That fixed it, but I hadn't been doing forwarding before the issue arose. no idea what's going on but it's fixed

so that's why nobody's joining
restarting server

BUMP server's up, added player list image

Playerlist image can connect, users should be able to as well. What the what?
Anyways, there's a CTF map now in the "rotation." It doesn't rotate, it's just on whatever I'm working on or feel like playing.

EDIT: Tried connecting with a client. Ping IS ---, don't know why...

EDIT EDIT: Huh, the option Public Domain was set to "-1q" and not "-1", wonder if that did it.

EEEEEEEDIT: Nope. That's something to do with brick ownership. Maybe it's the top-down playertype.\

yet another edit: nope not that

Gyt's playerlist image service doesn't connect to you; you connect to it. Iirc, you don't need to port forward to connect to websites. Only to allow people to connect to you.

You need to Port Foward
I didn't port forward before this happened and my ping was fine then.

Well you do anyway so go do that.

You can't always rely on UPnP
