I feel like stuff now knowing nothing i make will ever be able to compare to this.

You shouldn't really care about this. It's more important you and others enjoy what you do rather than spend all your time making it pretty. I honestly had more fun in my early years of Blockland when I didn't care what things looked like and just enjoyed them for the fun factor.

IMO, flaw with builds like those of Syl or Brick is that their only purpose is to look good. Outside of that, they're just too massive they can't really serve any playable use.

For these reasons honestly think OP's city is better. It looks nice and has a classic feel to it, along with actual playability.

This, also considering the fact that Syl's city can only be truly enjoyed by 5 to 10% of the community which have very powerful computers.

I was going to say this was dumb but the simplicity and scale is actually kind of admirable. Consider using some brick packs for trees and give some buildings interiors.
