Tim Ovens demonstrating a John Cage prepared piano piece
John Cage uses indeterminacy in music by switching radio stations
Cage is the king of this stuff.

edit: Brian Eno and ambient musicians from around his time used lots of found objects in their music. I know Eno would go to markets and tap on random objects to find new sounds for some recordings. There's lots of interesting experimental music along these lines.

the descriotion implies that you could hook up a soundblaster card to a printer like this and this would happen...  i doubt that
