Mexico is a stuffhole. The "wage gap" there is bigger there than here. If you aren't a government elite, you are dirt poor and making your house out of billboards and literal human corpses. The cartel has basically gotten so powerful that they are having sheriffs and politicians assassinated without consequence.
If we rolled across the border right now, it wouldn't even be a fight. Mexico has historically been a weak country, and now they are more than ever. It'd be an easier fight than North Korea with its couple of nukes in its arsenal and that's it.
That being said, building the wall and deporting illegals en masse is the best way to deal with this, because it both symbolically and literally forces Mexico to deal with its own problems rather than outsource them to us. War with Mexico would be a waste of time, money and resources, even more so than you liberals claim the wall will be.
