holy forget
I just learned about this stuff after a while browsing youtube, it's loving insane what they pull off

for those in the dark
TAS stands for tool-assisted speedrun, but for SSB it stands for tool-assisted super-play
it's a program that allows for changes during the game for pinpoint precision; slow motion, frame-by-frame gameplay, and save states that allow the player to "undo" mistakes during combat, even cancelling momentum at points
think JJBA levels of time manipulation and throw in some more King Crimson, there you go
if you use TAS, unless you're really really loving stupid, there's absolutely NO way you can lose

that being said, the videos where either the player is affecting both fighters or two TAS users are facing off against each other devolve into the most insane stuff you'll see in any fighting game
it's loving awesome
