Author Topic: I just migrated Blockland to Steam.  (Read 1758 times)

good job now you have to use something other than what you usually use to play to host dedicated servers because steam is a butt about running the game's server on one machine and playing on another, and badspot won't or can't fix it.

Anyone who has an authentication key can still use it just fine after linking to steam. There is literally no downside. The downside is only if you bought the game via steam and therefore don't have an auth key.

If I remember there is a way to actually host a server with a steam key.

Unfortunately I cannot test it since my old key is binded to my profile.

I bought blockland on steam long after buying my 8k ID.
So I can never link my original ID to it now unless I get a new steam account.

yea you're able to, but you're not able to join your own server with the same key

You could put old key.dat in the steam blockland folder, and add -nosteam to launch args.

Why does your steam look so modern?
