Author Topic: college i applied to makes account creation a pain in the ass  (Read 651 times)

so i applied for community college, and of course got accepted. they make you sign up for some kind of service that's basically central hub for all your college stuff.

they want me to make an account, okay? the process is that your username is your firstname, underscore, lastname. (e.x. john_doe) but the thing is, there can be more that one john doe's! you have to keep adding a number to your name until you find the one associated with you. it's wonky af.

i have some important stuff involving the fafsa and applying for classes that i need to do asap. anyone else have to deal with bs online college servers like this?

my college is similar, but they sent me somethin with my username on it in my acceptance thingo

i got the acceptance letter, but it looks like a template they send everyone. no personal info other than the return address

Yes everything about applying to and getting registered for college is a pain in the a$$

Yeah they should definitely have some unique identifier

My college's username were first name, period, last name, last four digits of SSN
My high was similar but used last 3 digits of Student ID #
