make it a portable computer rig probably. but thats an old generic idea

maybe fill it with raspberry pi 3's and make it a pi server rack. or rig it with speakers. maybe make it a "mac" style computer with a monitor replacing a side, if you feel in the mood to machine things
conan having a cluster of rpis is a great way to blow them up without cooling

shh

i wanted him to try to take it around and get charged with terrorism

"it's not a bomb it's clearly a clockraspberry pi 3 cluster"

As it turns out, Xbox HDDs use a little known feature of IDE called "locking", to ensure that the HDD can only be used with the specific motherboard it was paired with. The only two ways to access the content of this drive is to hotswap; I.E., have the motherboard working and turned on with the HDD plugged in, then swap it over to plugged into the PC, or to have your motherboard modded so you can do some stuff to get the password.

Neither is going to happen, so this is basically a giant paperweight. What a shame.

So, firstly, I forgot to include images of the damage.

The rust is why the console appears so dark on the outside. This one has been through hell and back, looks like. This is also after I removed most of the dust on the inside.

What could be in the box?!

Replacement Xbox arrived today, and here's a comparison of the boxes and the controllers for each (new Xbox stuff is on the left);

Also got these:

I wish a I had taken a photo of the internals for this box, but I discovered something interesting.

This new Xbox is modded.

DuoX2 GS. Neither the seller nor I knew that; I was removing the clock cap and was wondering why all the screws had already been undone. As far as I know, the original owner flashed this unit back to the stock OS before he sold it on to the guy who would eventually sell this unit to me. That's a pretty bloody good surprised. I'm going to try and run the Slayer 3.37 recovery disc when I get back home and make sure the chip works fine, then I might install Linux or XBMC. Thinking I might need to get a bigger HDD as well, now that I can unlock it.

Played some Halo 2 and TimeSplitters 2 with my sister last night, and tried Morrowind this morning. Working perfectly, and the internals are clean as forget.

Now show us you playing Halo.

I actually wasn't paying attention to the ad and thought it was a standard Halo 2 copy (and I already have the Halo 2 Limited Edition). It's a bloody nice bonus since it has all the maps, the update and some bonus videos not on the LE Disc, especially with XBL no longer accessible on the box.
