Today I started steam up as usual, and when it went to the connecting screen, it froze and did not respond. I've tried numerous fixes but they did not work. Does anyone know a fix?

Try restarting your pc first off

Restart your pc
If that doesnt work reinstall steam, if that doesnt work uninstall steam through the control panel and then reinstall it.
If THAT doesnt work seek help.
