Find a Steam key/Force old versions to load with steam?

I'm wanting to play with my friend on a old version, but apparently upon further research, you don't get a steam key.
How can I find one or force v20 to load with his Steam?

i doubt it would work but you could try replacing the .exe and base files in your steam folder's blockland install and set it to read only or something.

the transition from v20 to v21 included adding steam authentication so i dunno if the steamauth system would work on prior installs

that said, there are workarounds to the auth system if you are willing to join by ip. i can't name anything here of course, but you can ask me if the suggestion above doesnt work.

v20 has no code for Steam API so steam auth will not work at all
