Author Topic: Should I buy a New 2DS XL?  (Read 1070 times)

I really have had this stuffty 3DS XL which is super beat up, has so many scratches, has a problem with the sd card which i had stupidly rigged but fixed. And because the Wii U is dead now, I have Hyrule Warriors Legends, but because the game is "Recommended" to be played on the NEW 3DS, I only get 20 frames per second gameplay. Plus, with Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon and Metroid Samus Returns, coming to 3DS, STILL LIKE WTF GIVE ITUP NINTENDO, should I get it? Those are huge IPs and I really want to play them, but I dont want to touch my stuffty 3dsxl

yeah, it's pretty much a cheaper 3ds and without the 3d which barely anybody uses anyway

new 2ds feels like an overall cheaper unit, build quality isn't nearly as good among other things.

get a new 3ds xl second hand, it's not much more expensive and it's an overall higher quality feeling unit.

save up some more money and get a switch
the 3ds and 2ds are on their way out within a year and nintendo's focusing all of their creative energy onto one system
production of the regular new 3ds has already stopped

Get a nintendo switch.
Let the 3DS
DIE

wtf why? i love my 3ds and there are too many good games on there to let it die

I already have a switch lol I just really wish I could play the countless games I bought on the eshop. Or not and just save money to buy a stuff ton of Switch games

If your system is super beatup and you also want those new 3ds perks too then it would be an obvious yes unless money is an issue. $150 isn't a huge asking price for a console, saving up to that wouldn't take long if you're up for it.

The 3ds model line never had much of a high standard of build quality in the first place so I don't think the 2ds could be that much worse.

you're right, I think I'm gonna get it. It'll be a good final moment with the 3DS Family until the Switch has reigned supreme.

i have had a regular ol' dsi for yeeeeeeears now and i still do stuff on it occasionally

my aqua blue 3ds will be a collectors item one day.
