Author Topic: My Chrome & YouTube account is not at all Compromised  (Read 918 times)

I know this isn't a tech support forum, but all other forums haven't helped. I believe all my Google-related accounts are compromised by some kind of virus or something. the reason I think this is because restricted mode has been locked on, on my Samsung phone the section under the videos has been mostly "There was a problem with the network [400]", and my internet is loving up on my IPad. Right now I can only retrieve a screenshot for the locked restricted mode.
Running Norton and Malwarebytes brings up nothing, but I'd rather be safe than sorry, so I'm turning to you guys.

If your accounts were compromised because of malware, then they would have just changed your passwords. Putting on a video content filter makes no sense. More than likely it's just YouTube testing weird experimental features on you. They do that occasionally.

don't run norton for one

change all passwords, and update recovery infos on a unique device like a phone.

do not touch pooter afterward

reformat pooter

but yeah youtube has been loving with censoring things and how reporting works. either you were flagged automatically, or someone did it. or your settings are doing it to yourself.

don't have norton for one

your school or someone else can set it so restricted mode is enabled on the network always.

you aren't compromised, your school/parents are just clever

change all passwords, and update recovery infos on a unique device like a phone.

do not touch pooter afterward

reformat pooter
turn off your computer and make sure it powers down. drop it in a forty-three-foot hole in the ground. bury it completely, rocks and boulders should be fine. then burn all the clothes you may have worn any time you were online

holy forget i listened to this so much as a kid

Turns out all I had to do was a bit of talking and tweaking with the network b/c of an error. Sorry about this, it was just me freaking out as usual. Locking.
