Suppose that you are standing on a skateboard near a wall and that you push in the wall with a force of 30 N if your mass is 60kg what is your acceleration?
like how do you solve this? what formula do you use?

this is the equation we're going to use
f = ma

we know the force is 30 N and the mass is 60 kg so we can substitute those in directly

30 = 60a

now we solve for a which is acceleration

30 / 60 = a
0.5 = a
since acceleration is measured in m/s² the real answer is 0.5 m/s²

i don't know if that's right i only got a 3 on the ap physics exam but i'm pretty sure that's how you do it

if it's talking about instantaneous acceleration then that's correct

this is the equation we're going to use

yeah .5 is the answer but thanks for showing how to solve it
