Author Topic: HELP: No sound when in game.  (Read 1680 times)

I've loaded up blockland; once in a loooong time, and i have openAL installed but the sound is still broke. Any help?

OS: Arch Linux

OpenAL is automatically installed with the game, I don't think you need to do that.

Have you tried using Wine yet?

Alternatively, you can download OpenAL here https://www.openal.org/downloads/ and run the windows download through wine
uh
i already did download OPENAL?
did you even read the OP?
i already ran
Code: [Select]
sudo pacman -S openal

Audio driver might not be installed correctly (not openal) - I am not familiar with linux problems so I try to help the best as I can do

Hm might be. Not on comp. right now and ill give some logs back tomorrow.

Could you start blockland and give us a console.log ?

I know- disgusting a picture.

but it gets all of the data in one thing.

Alright, I did a bit of digging, and it appears there is a bit of tweaking you must do with openAL under wine

This is an old article, but you might find it useful

and then there is also this

again, not sure these help, since I don't use linux much. Maybe send a PM to Pah-ko, he knows a lot about linux
