my brother, an xbox one owner, was excited for this

so why did they nominate this piece of stuff goty in the game awards

This is a good business decision. Actual content updates result in little marginal gain, while porting your game to an entirely new, untapped market is extremely profitable.

Buying an early access game is essentially paying them off to stop developing. As it stands, I like PUBG enough in its current form that it isn't a totally unacceptable reality, but anyone who expected massive changes needs to brush up on economics.

Is it true that it's an asset flip?

i actually like that theres no assisted aiming

this is why you don't preorder or buy season passes before the game is out or anything like that

it's the same thing

It's impossible to tell for sure, but it seems most assets used in the game were bought off the Unreal Marketplace.
for example

on a related note it's hilarious how much Bluehole and their community bash Fortnite and Epic Games when they then turn around and pull stuff like this

game of the year contender ladies and gentlemen

So basically don't play it on the Xbox one X, and seriously don't play it on the Xbox one
