Joining a game takes way to long

No matter what server I try to pick it takes hours for me to join a room is there a way i can make this go faster.

1) download add-ons commonly used in servers
2) play on servers with less add-ons
3) actually sit through the download(next time you come it would be faster)

If you just got the game the first load takes about 15 minutes or so.  That was when I first joined.  Now it could be 30 minutes.  No clue.

There really isn't much else you can do [that I am aware of] except get a better internet connection and the options I listed before.
