Author Topic: Port forwarding... (14th attempt)  (Read 779 times)

I went everywhere from PortForward.com to Google and I still cant host a game. I use a EQ660R (The one that the Embarq company gives you when you register) I also run a Windows Vista. And dont tell me to contact the company becaus I already did. Please help. Thanks in Advance.
Yes I did turn off Firewall.
Yes I did follow Badspots tutorial.
Yes I did follow the tutorial on PortForward.com.
Yes I did let Builder for forward for me and it didnt work.

The only problem I have is that when I do the static IP thing, It turns out I only have 1 DSN.

Some people never have a static IP. This means that even if players can join your server, chances are they won't last very long.

Even if you have a dynamic IP, those don't change every few minutes or so. They usually change when you're disconnected from the internet from a long period of time or when your lease expires, and those usually last a couple of weeks, minimum.
