Southerners have no idea what a british accent sounds like.
I am from Texas, the most stereotyped place of hicks," steers, and queers"

In my whole life(14 years old) there is only one person I've ever met that had a hick type accent. That was my English teacher last year. That's IT.

I know when someone is British or not.

Me personally, I love the Scottish and Irish accent. It is just so epic.

I have an accent. Woot.

Chowda.
Caaaar.
Havar'd

It's more like cah and havah'd in Maine.  The people with accents don't pronounce the letter "r".
