Author Topic: Parameters Help  (Read 575 times)

For quite a while I've been trying to figure out what parameters do. I wanted to try a rocket turret like in one of the v9 preview videos, but I can't seem to get the rockets to come out in the right direction. I know it has something to do with the parameters. Can anyone provide a tutorial, or some advise (preferably with a screenshot) to help me out?

Bump because I'm having the same trouble.

I've been breaking my balls for the past hour trying to get some missiles to go the right direction. There are two sets of three boxes, and I think one of the sets is the XYZ axis, but everything I try will end up with bad results (Even if I did know where the XYZ was, I still suck at geometry).

Help, please.

Well, I'm not surprised. Not many of the topics I make become popular.  :panda:

But thank you, Shrum, for bumping this.

I started figuring SOME of this out, and I think I've got it down. I can't quite explain it, but I know that there is an X, and Y (another one I don't know) axis. I also found out that it works in negatives. It's basic stuff you learned in the third grade. X axis is horizontal, Y axis is vertical. The third controls what I believe to be the power of the projectile, seeing as how when I set it to 0-0-30, the rockets fire straight out of the turret at an upward angle, flying higher the higher I set the number.

Sorry for the double post. Stupid me, the third number I was talking about is the Z axis.

God, I must be tired.

First 3 = X Y Z velocity
+Y axis = North, check with an item spawn.
Selector = Projectile type

Second 3 = X Y Z inaccuracy
The power can vary by up to this amount each way

Slider = Scale
Scales the projectile, explosion and damage up or down.
