When I change the color of the shirt, the design on the shirt also gets shaded that color, and not just the background.

Use Transparent, I assume you are not using MSpaint?

No, I am. :P So, you're saying, just highlight the whole thing on transparent mode and right click and save it like that, instead of "Save as..."

(This doesn't work, you can use "Copy to..." and save it as a PNG.)
