Well, some are good, when nobody created it first, we only need one of each type, certain things are a exception, and its the way torque works(I believe).

Add-ons just make the game easy, more fun. Developing add-ons is difficult, yet as soon as you crack it, you'll undoubtedly make something terrible and nobody will like it, and you'll have a hissy fit and insult us terribly. Like everyone does.
