"no mountable file systems" Help pls :<

Ok, so when trying to open Blockland_9.dmg, I always get and error saying "no mountable file systems." I'm running on a Mac OS X Version 10.3.9, can't install anything new because this computer doesn't have a damned DVD reader. Any advice on this?

My next guess ( I'm NOT a mac person) is that your OS may be too old.
