How can I stabilize my internet?

I am constantly getting these pop-ups saying "A network Cable has been unplugged" and "Internet connected. 100.0 mb" and it does that every 5 minutes or so, and it crashes blockland, gmod, wurm online, web browser occasionally, and anything else that requires internet. how do i fix it?

It could also be bad network hardware, what kind of setup do you have? Are you connecting wirelessly? Do you have a router, if so how far away is it, how old it it?

Whenever I get this problem, I do this.

Unplug modem and router.
Wait a bit.
Plug in modem, wait for everything to light up.
Plug in the router.
Wait a bit and everything should work fine.


You shouldn't have to redo your settings unless your router sucks.
