Add-ons

How do you use add-ons? I have seen I get them from servers that have them.  However they are unzipped, and the ones I downloaded from this site are zipped.  I don't know if they have zipped or not to work, and i tried zipping them.  I am look for the add on: JVS DOORS
I have it in unzipped format.

ok unzipped or zipped either one, you place in your addons folder, your addon folder is in different areas depending on what kind of computer you have

if you have windows:
Program files/ Blockland/ Addons <---- place unzipped/zipped addon folder here

If you have macintosh:
Applications/ Blockland v10/ Addons <---- Place unzipped/zipped addon folder here

Now once in your folder, start up blockland, click start game and there is a button that says addons, now a button that says the addon you added to the file appears and you make sure it is checked.

I tried that and a lot of add-ons don't show up.  and they are in my add-ons folder.

This is what I do.


-Find the blockland folder.

-Go to Add-Ons

-Place the zipped Add-Ons into the folder.

-Go to "config > server"

-Open "ADD_ON_LIST" with Notepad.

-Scroll to the bottom of the file.

-Type "$AddOn__[addon type here]_[ addon name here] = 1;"

-Save the file and close it.

EXAMPLE: $AddOn__Weapon_sniperrifle = 1;



Or go in game and tick the add-on box thing.

However, what program do i open it in?
When i try wordpad it says this:

I tried saving the add_ons_list
it saves but thats not true.  I open the folder again and what i saved is not there...
Thats why it doesn't show up in add-ons when you try to start a game.

It works for me in Notepad, I'm not sure why it wouldn't work in WordPad.

After saving it, try entering blockland, and seeing if it's there.

OH, AND!!!

Make sure it's saving as a .cs file!

BTW, this is what I do to get addons.

1-Open C:/Program Files/Blockland/Addons.
2-Place the downloaded addon ZIP in the folder.
3-Open Blockland.
4-Click 'Start A Server'.
5-Click 'Addons'.
6-Tick the one/s you downloaded and want on your server (if you are hosting) then press Start Game.
7-If you are not hosting, you only have to do steps 1 and 2.
