Author Topic: making music for music box  (Read 616 times)

how do i put a song so it can be played through the music box?

is has to be a .ogg file. Theres a tutorial for it using the program audacity.  Use the search button.

 1. Download a song with Limewire, or something else.
 2. Download Audacity, or some other music editing program.
 3. Open your song you downloaded on to Audacity.
 4. Click on the Song name in the middle-left.
 5. Select Split Track
 6. Select the name again.
 7. Choose Mono.
 8. Do it with the name below it.
 9. Click on File (upper left)
10. Click export as Ogg Vorbis.
11. A warning should come up saying the tracks will be merged into one (or something like that), if they don't then something wrong.
12. Open up the new .ogg you made.
13. *Select the part off music you want, then click the button that sorta looks like this -IVILI- to crop the part that you want.
14. While holding shift press the play button, to hear how it sounds when its looped.
15. Make necessary changes then test again.
16. Export it into your Blockland->Addons->Music Folder
17. Open Blockland
18. Go to Start a Game
19. Then Music files
20. Select your song then press start.
21. Test wrench a music brick... you get the point.
*Beware you may get banned if you give a file for people to upload a full song, so crop it down into a somewhat short loop.

This may all seem complicated at first, but it gets easier.

TroubleShooting:

Q. My song doesn't come up in the Music Files.

A. Try saving your song over another song that does work.  I always have to do this, IDK why.  Consider copying another song, or just choose one that you don't like.

Heres another tutorial if this doesn't work http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=48311.0
