well i have a Windows XP, got the baby in '06

issue is, it is starting to get a little slow, and i want to make it faster.
i've been thinking about a new graphics card for a while now, but i don't know what i really need to make my experience with my computer better; suggestions please?

also I'm not a computer savvy so dumbing it down would help a little (:

well whenever i play blockland my computer lags massively..

even if i havn't built anything.
