Author Topic: Dr.Block's Event-Assisted Jeep Sumo  (Read 1511 times)

Description:
I started building a Jeep Sumo on Digmaster's server the other night, but didn't finish it until I loaded the save I had of that server on a private game. I now present to you my Event-assisted Jeep Sumo, complete with a passworded control room. By default, the password for the control room is set to "thepass", but feel free to change it. The control room contains buttons to respawn and get rid of one or all of the jeeps, a camera to watch the match from the monitor in the control room, and buttons to perform certain functions within the minigame, such as giving the contestants the green light to start, reset the minigame, ect.

Used Add-ons:
password events
set player transform event
camera event
event plus
*Note: These add-ons are not required, but are needed to use the jeep sumo to it's full potential.

Use this Jeep Sumo as you like, host in on an internet game, LAN game, give the save to others, whatever. Just don't bother trying to claim it as your own, as this topic is living prove that it's mine :P

Have fun, The save is posted below. -Dr.Block

I don't think this is enough to make a topic for, but good job anyways I guess.

I think the events are decent. Better than some....

where to get password events?

Haha, I remember you making this on his server. We built huge towers next to each other creating Sumo rinks. I attempted to create a Normal sumo one but I had to go before I finished.

Misleading, isn't it.

Ah, I still remember the good ol' stick sumo back in RTB1.045. :P

sounds like it has good potential as a mini game, great work :)

how does the camera work?

The camera uses the camera output event so when you click the camera button on the monitor, you are free to view the camera brick in the arena (though it's there so you can change your view off the brick and onto the arena, of course). you can press whatever key you use for the player light to return to normal view.
