Author Topic: Weapon Handle Sizes in Blender  (Read 879 times)

I am a beginner scripter, who is attempting to make a weapon in Blender.

I see this view, I have planned my model, and I know how to use Blender.  However, I've encountered a problem.
I can't seem to figure out how large to make the handle size for my model, so it fits in the Blocklander's hand.

This is what the Blender screen looks like after startup.  The further you zoom in, more and more squares appear.  I am at the normal zoom level here.  How many times should I 'go further' into the picture? And then, how many squares should the model take up?

If any of the talented modellers here at the forums know the answer to my dilemma, please post.

Make the model really quite small. Export it, test it, resize it.

Also the point where all 3 planes meet becomes the mount point.

Here's a script for importing .3ds files:http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mowmwz2zazo
I didn't make it i found it somewhere with another pack. Theres a .3ds file for the player minifig somewhere around this forum, i tried searching but i can't find it. Its there though, i don't have time too spend lots of time and look through right now so i'm leaving that to you.
The script goes in your C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender\.blender\scripts folder.

Once you found the minifig import it into blender and then size your weapon to match his hand. Then just delete the player model and export your weapon.

Okay, thanks for the help, guys.  Locking now.
