Author Topic: A/V Boredom  (Read 740 times)

I got bored to I took the subwoofer out from my surround sound receiver and, with the help of a ton of adapters and cables, hooked it up to my '75 tube bass amp with a 15 inch speaker.  Sounds like love, except for the static the older-than internet (probably true!) tubes.  I'm going to order new tubes and replace the capacitors because Arizona is known for killing capacitors.

Discuss random A/V stuff

EDIT: When I hit my bass amp, it grumbles.  Hilarious.

double toast

anyone know any good tube brands/stores?

No, sorry, not that technically inclined with auto audio. Although I did manage to cause my trunk to become it's own subwoofer. How or why that happened, I don't know, but it was amusing to see people turning their heads to the 1812 Overture blasting from my oldsmobile.

That's another story altogether about my exploits to turn classical music into anti-hip hop weaponry. o.o

Its not car, its home.

Its a bass guitar amp.

Don't become one of those bastards that pulls up next to me at the intersection blasting away with their bass...you know who I mean.
