Tuneable speakers?

My neighbor gave me a really expensive sound system that came with tunable speakers. I immediately hooked it up to my computer, but Have any of you heard of tunable speakers?

Double toast

I found something that says there are 2 knobs, on controls tweets, one the woofer.  Try playing with them to figure out if I'm correct.
