Author Topic: Do you think the word noob is mis or over used?  (Read 1263 times)

I find that it is misused and so overused, I mean ppl say noob for no reason now and they say it to people that aren't noobs. It doesn't make sense calling someone with an ID of 222 a noob by someone of ID 15000... I think ppl are forgetting what it was truly made for, to make new players feel bad. And done make any stupid jokes like just posting the word noob!

Calling someone a noob is another way of them a douche. However, the term newb means "new player", hence the 'new' in the title.

It's very over used.  Like if im Death matching in blockland and i kill them they scream N000000000000000000000BBBBBBB BB!!!!!!!!!.

shuttup about my adiction

Not exactly. As VH said, newb is for new players, noob is a person doing stupid mistakes. And as I have said before, someone with a high ID calling someone with a lower ID noob or newb doesn't matter, because you have older players who still haven't bought BL yet but have been here for ages.

Why'd you use that Kheyre character's BL_ID?  Any specific reason?

Newb doesn't mean new player, it's an abbreviation of newbie. Which, from what a definition said, is for computer use in general. It's used in other places as well. Newb itself, I'd think, is a internet thing.

its been getting more and more misused.

Welp, the new guy's right, then.

It was pretty sunny in Seattle today. However i'm sure the Gobi Desert is still as dry as ever. :/

The people responisble for creating the word should be cut.
