Steam being weird

So something messed up my steam had to mess with it now fixed but i have to reinstall my games so far i have left 4 dead,garysmod,halflife2 all downloaded so now i want to play TF2 i downloaded it it said 1 hour then it gets to 30 minutes i come back in now it says 35 minutes then 40 then 48 then 50 then i close and open again now it says 7 hours help?
