Author Topic: Milkshape DTSplus exporter problem  (Read 1546 times)

i have been trying to make a Rough model of a hidden blade wrist type thing, and i beleive i have animated it correctly, but when i use Milkshape3d's DTS PLus exporter, it chops off most of the model and leaves only a single plate (on top)
can anyone tell me if i should export in another way or if it's just me?

what it looks like:

Set the LOD to 16 on all mesh groups.

Set the LOD to 16 on all mesh groups.

Why 16? Just curious, I usually use LOD 0 to disable it.

I normally use 100 on Torque Games but Blockland fails at LOD for some reason. 0 = something.. not good so don't use it, -1 and lower are for collision meshes, aka collision-1. 16 on all objects just tells the game they're all visible no matter what distance, LOD is really a in-depth Torque feature that most people don't use, so 16 to be safe :I (Although 18 is legal)

I read in that DTS plus guide that 0 works at all distances even if you start setting other shapes with different LODs. I think LOD is disabled if all the shapes have the same LOD, just speculation, would explain why 100 works for some people, 50 for others, etc.

i havent done much with modeling, only really simple things while im learning about modeling, and i have no clue how to set the LOD, and i havent made any meshes, would they just be a transparent box around it named mesh?

I got, so nevermind, locking topic i just had to rename my boxes/shapes to <whatever>32
