Author Topic: Virtual Machines  (Read 1565 times)

Virtual machines have got to be the best invention ever. I'm running mandriva linux on one of my computers and Macintosh OSX Leopard on the other, but on those two computers, without dual booting, I have a total of 6 Operating Systems.
1. Windows 7
2. Windows Vista
3. Ubuntu Linux
4. Mandriva linux
5. Mac OSX Leopard
6. Gentoo Linux

Heres a picture of me installing Windows 7 on my mandriva computer:

Some Virtual Machine components are:

Windows: www.VMWare.com    (Free)
Mac: http://www.parallels.com/  ($50 USD)
Linux: http://www.virtualbox.org/ (free)

They should run on XP.

Virtualbox also works on Windows.
Is VMware free, and does it work well?

I would suggest VMware for windows, a lot more people use it and less bugs. Yes, it is free, and as I just said, works better then virtualbox. I was just pointing out what I recommended for each OS.

DOS-games doesn't have sounds.
What does that have to do with anything lol. They could beep, though :)
