Author Topic: Port Forwarding confusion  (Read 301 times)

Okay so I read that "Port Forwarding for absolute dummies" and did exactly as it said (used the very outdated guide first of course.) and my server still shows dead. I checked if my server was dead through a console command while I was in it and it showed my server alive, yet when I used a laptop to double check if it was dead - that's right you guessed it, it was DEAD. I was doing both the computer and the laptop at the same time, my computer showed about 8 - 10 ping but on the laptop it was showing Dead.

I've got no idea what I am doing wrong here, no anti-virus/spyware program is blocking Blockland nor is a firewall doing this either. The fact the pictures (this crap was like almost over a year ago now!) weren't working in Ephi's guide didn't help me much either. I do not believe my IP changes at all. If someone could give me a detailed explanation about finding this "LAN IP" part it would be appreciated, Ephi's guide proved useful in only some areas and as I said, the dead pictures were probably the bulk of it for me.

Kudos to people that are actually nice enough to help. Thanks.

P.S. If you need any other details, simply ask. When I get the time I will get them to you.

i think it depends on the amount of ping...
