Author Topic: Can't connect to servers - "Request timed out."  (Read 1929 times)

When I get on Blockland, the server thing shows all the servers, then they start going offline. There are some online servers left, but when I click them, all of them say "Request timed out." Does anyone know the problem?

If a server is hosted, lets say on the other side of the world, the request would time out because the "message" to join that server wouldn't make it in time.

Also, if you are using something wireless (i.e Laptop) check the signal strength.

Im not using wireless, and its still happening. and now, most of the servers DON'T go dead, but they still wont work.

Also, what's the chances of almost all of the servers being on the other side of the world?

This sucks... I cant play....do you think re- downloading it will help?

Downloading again probably wouldn't help.  If you can get on single player, but not on the internet servers, then it is a problem with your internet.  If you tryed to portforward or were messing around with your connection, then you should try to fix whatever you did.

What? Are you saying I can't access servers hosted in Australia then?

The problem here is most likely some firewall issue blocking traffic. Either that or you just have some insanely slow internet. If you do an internet speed check what does it say? What country do you live in? Are you in a city/small town/remote shack?
