God damnit this stuff is annoying the hell out of me.
No, not the fact that they're muting stuff. The fact that everyone, who has signed up for YouTube, and is commenting on videos saying it's not fair and they should've gotten a warning about this happening, is 100% wrong. Why? Because in the damn agreement they abided to to even get their accounts to post those stuffty videos up there in the first place, it says, quite clearly, that you cannot upload anything that does not contain content you and only you created.
It even says it, again, in the video uploader.

But having audio in a video is like advertising the band. The person goes "hm, i like this song :D" and might go and check out the band.
But, i've seen many videos that can help you get your audio back if it really bothers you that much.

Yeah, you think that's how it'd work, but when Youtube started, it didn't have to worry about copyright bullcrap. Since Google grabbed it up and started it's plans to hulu it up. Anything not original content is subject to removal so that a band can still afford their solid gold humvees and diamond studded swimming pools. After all, who do you think gets mass royaties from those said bands?

Nah, I'm not bothered by losing Audio, I'm bothered by those who complain about it.

It's extremely easy to steal songs off of YouTube.
Wavepad, Audacity, any recording program.
