Embarq to be sold

Well I've been having router problems, so we had an employee of theirs come out and help. He mentioned that Embarq was going to be sold to ZyXEL(Might be something else)CenturyTel on Monday. That's why my router wasn't working, mine wasn't supported by them. I don't know anything else, since he just barely mentioned it, but discuss anyways.
