I'm going SHOPPING!

Ok, I've never bought a netbook or stuff before, and I need one. Here's what I need

  • At least two year warranty, three would be great, any more then that is not needed
  • Good warranty
  • 1024 x 600 or bigger
  • 2gb RAM would be most excelent
  • Spinning Hard drive; not solid state. I want size!
  • <$800, including warrenty

You guys up to the task? Usually I'd just run to Newegg, but I need an excellent warranty. If you get something cheap enough (say <$300) that's really good I can screw over the warranty. Thanks a ton in advance :D

maybe you should try tiger direct, sometimes they have better deals than newegg. Also, I would suggest an eepc for a first netbook.

Yes, but can TigerDirect beat this deal?

$800, but after you fill out and send in the Mail-in rebate, you get $100 back, making the total cost $700.

It all depends on what you use them for. Really, they are great computers for web and school.

Indeed.
ASUS's Eee PC or their new N10 netbooks are really good.
In fact, right now, I'm typing on one of the first netbooks (an Eee PC 701)

I imediently discounted it due to it being on Newegg then later read it to find the 2 year warrenty

Nice find. Need to check out some more things beforehand.
