Author Topic: Server appears dead only to brother.  (Read 868 times)

I recently tried to host an internet server to build with my brother (LAN servers glitch duplicator, etc.), but when I started the server, my brother said it was dead. I checked port forwarding, restarted my computer, power cycled my router, nothing worked.

Ping Diagnostic said the server was fine, so I unpassworded  it and waited. Sure enough, someone joined. Anyone know how to fix this?

If he's on the same network, have him Query LAN. Even though the server is an Internet server, he will be able to join the server through LAN.

Either that, or Blockland hates your Brother...

Stop replying to help topics, you never help.

Tried that, it doesn't show up in the LAN server list.

Well, you obviously have A: something wrong with your lan

But hey, it happened to me, but the server is there for my LAN around the house, but DEAD, i need help too!
Just try joining again...and again...etc...

The funny thing is, I see my bro's connection attempts in the console, he just never connects.

Maybe you should have him close Blockland BEFORE you open the server. It works for me and Jester all the time.
