Why is my video so...laggy?

I use Debut video capture thing and when I play back a recording its so laggy...how do I stop this from happening?

idk...my "machine" is fine, not suck ass, not awesome...fine...

Is it while your editing a video the preview video? Because mine does that too on Vegas 7 and I have a pretty beasty computer but it still lags a bit, I just play it back a few times and it works it out.
