Colorshift?

I was making differant levels of swords IE Steel, Bronze etc but I only want to colorshift the blade. Even if I do colorshift, do I assign the blade a blank png?

Anything you want to colorshift, assign a blank.png texture. Then texture whatever else that you don't want to be colored.
