This isn't even that big a deal, those that disable flood protection are just reaping what they sow.

Now I am going to make it impossible to disable flood protection.
Wtf?

Seriously, I actually hate flood protection. At least give the option to change the amount of messages per 10 seconds.

I'm a fast typer, so I usually type at least 5-6 messages in ten seconds. Fourth message, then the fifth, BAM. Flood protection.

It's stupid. I turned it off. If I have people excessively spamming chat for no good reason purely because they're an idiot, I ban them from my server. If they're just spamming chat for some reason I tell them to stop, and ban them if they ignore me.

:o

I still think we should be able to server-side control the amount of lines you can say in 10 seconds before flood protect kicks in.

I think there's already that in there. I once typed 5 lines in 4 seconds, then the flood prot. kicked in.
Then again, the lines were short, simple 3-5 word sentences.

What can chat counting do?
I cannot understand MtnDew

Lag and crash servers with huge amounts of messages being transmitted around.

Think more, press enter less.
Because of this, I wish all online games had the same flood protection.
I'm actually tired of the 8 line chats in other games being filled with:
1: "lol"
2: "k"
1: "so..."
1: "where you want?"
1: "to go?"
2: "dont know"
1: "wanna try..."
1: "____?"
2: "k"
2: "wait"
2: "gotta do something"
2: "buy stuff"
2: "potions"
2: "k?"
1: "k"
This within like, 5 seconds. It kills actual discussions.

It kills actual discussions.
Same thought. Why do you need to type practically every single word in a sentence seperately? You can go through this entire conversation in as little as 8 Lines;
Quote
1:Ha
2:Ok
1:So, want to go somewhere?
2:I'm not sure.
1:Well, how about ___?
2:Ok, but wait a moment, I need to get some potions, Ok?
1:Yeah, Ok.
And no doubt you could write that with even less. At the moment, that's 7 /15, less than half the amount of lines needed. And people really do write with more than 20 posts a go, It's shocking. I'll admit that I'm guilty of it sometimes, but if I have a long sentence I want to get across, I'll atleast have the decency to write it as one line.

This happened in xC's server also.

That's a really big bump.

Yeah, we left this party a while ago. :(
