GOOD QUALITY DECALS??

i know how to make decals and what not.. but how do i get it to look good on block land? like when i do it the quality isnt that good..

so can someone let me know to get better quality?

You get better quality by doing two things.
1: Use a good Image program (ex: Fireworks, GIMP, Paint.net) anything but MS paint..
2: Make sure to save your image as a .png, not a low quality .jpg

thanks and sorry for posting this in the wrong folder.. i was in a hurry when posting this and didnt think.. id delete it myself but i dont know how to... so if someone could let me know how or and admin delete it?

This is what i do
1: Open MS Paint make the decal.
2: Save as a .png
3: Open Paint.net (i Like this one the best)
4: Use the magic wand.
5: Select the part of the Decal you want to make transparent.
6: It should have a weird looking edge around it if so hit the Delete button at top right hand part of the keyboard.
7: if done correctly The part you wwanted to be transparent should  be a white and grey checker board.
8: Go to file. Hit save.
9:Package it in a file and put it in Blockland/Addons.
10: Having trouble with packaging ? Then go to decal/faces/prints in the forum home then click wedges topic about packaging and voilai!

Why would you make the decal in MS Paint when you can make it in Paint.net?

Furthermore, I wouldn't exactly call your decals good quality.


If you are asking about why the image quality is bad, it's probably because of the software you are using.
