Author Topic: My First Ever Model!  (Read 1724 times)

The reason why I made this today was because I beat Wind Waker today. :P

And the cell-shadiness of it sort of mingles with Blockland.Blender is hard (maybe not for you but for me it is), but if you would like the model to touch it up and export we could do that.
Blender isn't "hard." Picking it up for 10 minutes then giving up doesn't count. If you bother to READ the tutorials instead of looking at the pictures, it would be much easier.

My point isn't that Blender is hard, my point is that Sketchup is easier.

Easier does not mean quality. That thing probably has thousands of not used polys causing it to lag like a bitch to players without better computers. My point is, if you learned blender, you could make that look ten times better, ten times faster and ten times less polys, maybe even less then that! Easy does not mean good.

Agreed. I hope to start modeling soon, and blender seems pretty legit for my needs. More time almost always means 'more' better.

It is probably way over poly considering it is Sketchup. Switch to blender.

Or you can use milkshape, although its much more difficult to use, considering you have to make the faces yourself. I dont think torque constructor works...although I could be wrong.

Milkshape is Windows-Only, and Constructor is for interiors.

You can use constructor for models too, but it sucks for that. Thats why I said I think it works.
