You're such the friend.

And i don't flame people a lot now days. But,

damn, I give up

No it's not. It's overwhelmingly unwatchable garbage. I have watched a lot of anime by the way.
Have you actually watched anything from Miyazaki (not trying to be an ass), or do you just categorize it with all anime, of which the majority is unwatchable garbage? I can understand you not really caring for it, but "overwhelmingly unwatchable garbage"? I like his movies more for the ideas, scenery, and originality than the story; what specifically turns you off to it?

That's sad that you hate it.It's just a movie.
It's some peoples taste. And sometimes movies don't.
IMO
I don't see how you could hate a movie. Unless it was bad.

@ Yuki: I think the problem is that you have too low of a intention span to even understand the plot in such film.
I agree with this, except the unneeded hate at the end.

Its sort of the same reason people watch movies by Tim Burton (who doesn't like The Nightmare Before Christmas?), its the experience of the originality and being able to peer into this visionary's imagination, rather than looking to see some deep story that keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole of it; like looking at a beautiful piece of art.

Ah, but he's making Alice in Wonderland, which isn't original at all. Even Sweeny Todd was based on some old story, and Edward Scissorhands had similar plot mechanics as many other movies. Its the fact that you get to see how he views it, which, for me, is the same as watching Miyazaki's acid trips. Its original even though it isn't. Don't let the fact that it is anime deter you from it; that is simply his chosen medium to relay this vision to you.
