I think it has something to do with exporting the lowest LOD which would be collision-1.

Also, are you exporting this through DTSplus?
If so, Then you're going to need to mess with your LODs.
No one exports with Normal DTS exporter. And they shouldn't.
But, if you do. You won't have the shadow problem.
This happened to me with my Blockstang GT.
The only way i fixed it is by changing the LODs around until i got the result i wanted.
It also might have something to do with your model's mapping.
(Believe it, or ignore it. But milkshape is forgeted up.)
I read about something similar on the Torque forums.
When using milkshape, its important to mess with the tile-texture mapper settings.
Don't just leave the default.
I found that cube 1 1 1 was fine.
